Superbuy fees and exchange rate, read through the ten-times guarantee
Only eligible services within the stated scheme can receive a ten-times credit on their actual service payment. Here is where they sit in the bill, how pounds turn into yuan, and why the credit behaves like a voucher.
What costs nothing, and therefore pays nothing
Superbuy charges no purchasing service fee on orders from Taobao, Tmall, JD.com and 1688, according to its fee pages and help 34. The standard inspection, the three standard photos and ordinary stock-in are free as well.
Free services still have time standards: 24 hours for standard photos, 24 hours for stock-in with the 17:00 cut-off. But the 10× scheme multiplies what you paid, so a free service that runs late is owed nothing. If a deadline matters to you, the only way to attach money to it is to pay for the timed version.
Fee structure of a typical timed order
A real order has four kinds of charge: the item and the seller’s domestic postage, any service fee for non-mainstream platforms, the paid add-ons you choose, and international shipping, which is billed later when the parcel is weighed.
Only qualifying listed add-ons fall within this ten-times scheme. Take a coat with try-on photos, two detailed photos and a dust-proof bag: CN¥30 + CN¥4 + CN¥4 = CN¥38 in add-ons. If those were the actual service payments and all three delays qualified under the scheme, the combined credit illustration would be CN¥380. The item price and postage are never multiplied.
Follow the money through both stages of the order
The purchase payment covers the item and the relevant domestic charges. International freight is paid later for a selected parcel, with packing, requested services and applicable payment or destination charges considered separately. Reserve that second-stage budget before buying. A service priced at zero can still be useful, but its price does not erase the cost of the surrounding shopping journey.
When comparing routes, keep the contents, postcode, packed dimensions and weight the same. Consolidation may reduce repeated parcel fees, while a bulky box can increase billable volume. Check how a shipping deposit is reconciled after packing. If a timing benefit later applies, identify the eligible fee and payment form from its rules; do not assume it refunds the full product and freight bill.
Pounds into yuan at Superbuy’s own rate
Superbuy prices everything in yuan and converts at its own rate when you top up in pounds. That rate is shown at checkout and is not the mid-market rate a bank or news site quotes. A comparison dated 8 October 2026 put Superbuy’s markup over mid-market at about 8.6 percent; treat that as a dated snapshot, not a fixed number.
For the 10× scheme the rate matters twice. The fee you paid was converted on the way in, and the credit stays in yuan in your balance. A CN¥300 credit buys CN¥300 of future orders, whatever the pound does in between.
Card payments and the handling fee formula
Paying by card adds a handling fee, which Superbuy calculates as the amount due plus a fixed fee, divided by one minus the rate. Its worked example in help 1196 uses 3.5 percent plus US$0.30. Other methods have their own fees, shown on the payment page.
The handling fee is not part of the add-on price, so it is not multiplied. For an accepted eligible claim on a CN¥30 actual try-on service payment, the ten-times illustration is CN¥300; the separate card fee is not multiplied.
What a credit is worth in practice
Because payouts are non-withdrawable balance, their value depends on your next order. For a regular buyer a CN¥300 credit is close to cash. For someone placing a single haul it may never be used.
There is also a ceiling on how much lateness can be worth. The biggest per-item penalty is CN¥300 for try-on photos. Most packaging penalties are CN¥40 or CN¥50. The scheme is a signal that Superbuy measures itself, rather than a way to make money from delays.
Second-hand fees and customs declaration charges
Two more charges appear on some bills. Help 34 sets a flat service fee of CN¥20 an order for second-hand platforms such as Xianyu, Paipai and Zhuanzhuan, and 10 percent of the order (minimum CN¥10, maximum CN¥20) for other second-hand sites. Customs declaration for a parcel is “generally RMB 8.00”, depending on the shipping method.
Neither is a timed service, so neither has a standard or a payout. They are worth knowing because they sit on the same screen as the add-ons and are easy to mistake for one when you are adding up what a late service is owed.
